Starting with average daily highs of 68 in March and ending in the low eighties come May, Springtime marks the beginning of the year’s beautiful weather. Unlike the summer, this time of year brings less rain to spoil your daily plans.
As the weather warms, the days become more predictable. Life spent living at 70f is perfect for those who love to explore on foot or bike, whether that be a walk down the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk or through Brookgreen Gardens.
By May, the beach days hold plenty of promise. Solid waves and decent water temperatures make swimming and surfing enjoyable.

Stroll the Boardwalk
Outside of the Spring Break chaos and fun, strolling the Boardwalk in the quieter Spring months will be memorable. Life here is starting to pick up ahead of the busy summer and the 1.2-mile boardwalk provides gorgeous Atlantic Ocean views and endless entertainment.
Catch a Pelicans Game
Spring means baseball. Although Myrtle Beach doesn’t have a Major League team, their local Pelicans happen to play at a fantastic stadium. Sure it’s on the smaller side, but there’s not a bad seat in the house. Plus, in classic Myrtle Beach fashion, the games are just as much about the family fun festivities as it is about the score.
Explore Murrells Inlet
Murrells Inlet is filled to the brim with vibrant nature, mouthwatering cuisine, and historic landmarks. If one boardwalk wasn’t enough, come and explore the inlet’s half-mile trail through a gorgeous saltwater estuary. Summertime Weather
Summer is the most popular season to visit Myrtle Beach. Those seeking plenty of sun, hot weather and balmy seas will love this time of the year. June enjoys average daily highs of 88; this increases into the low nineties across July and August. So be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen.
The temperature increase is followed by a spike in average precipitation. The summer months experience double the amount of expected rainfall as any other season. Now, this is all well and sound as all attractions, such as Ripley’s Aquarium, amusement parks and the indoor waterparks, are ready to take you in when the rain showers arrive.

Take in the Carolina Opry
You’ve heard of all the major waterfront attractions, like the SkyWheel and surfside rollercoasters. But what about the Carolina Opry? This theater loves to take guests down memory lane with tribute acts from the ‘60s, ‘70s & ‘80s.
Country and folk tunes are also commonly found here, but there will still be plenty of rock, blues, and other genres to dance along to as you experience one of the more historic theaters in South Carolina.

Myrtle Beach in the Fall
Welcome to the shoulder season in Myrtle Beach. The Fall is one of my favorite times to enjoy the South Carolina coast. In fact, October may be the best month overall to visit. But let me know what you think!
Fall Weather
Don’t worry, just because it’s fall doesn’t mean the sunny days are over. Quite the contrary, average temperatures remain in the mid-80s in September offering some of the best beach weather in Myrtle Beach. From October it dips into the 70s and eventually the 60s as the late fall Hurricane Season takes place.
Days in the 70s offer the perfect time to explore beyond the beach as life slows down. Rainfall decreases and you’ll have great conditions for Myrtle Beach hiking, kayaking and park picnics.

Go Fishing
Better weather for fishing, schools of fishs and fewer crowds make inshore fishing in Myrtle Beach great in the fall. But you can go beyond the coast with half/full day and sunset charters with Voyager Fishing Charters.

Now that it isn’t 90+ degrees, let’s trade our swim trunks for hiking shoes. In Murrels’ Inlet, the state park is home to 300 species of local and migratory birds, sea turtles, and alligators which may be spotted from the trails and boardwalks. Myrtle Beach State Park is an excellent alternative option!
