The biggest recommendation here is to save room for the desert. The options change just about every day, but they are all incredible choices.

2. Sun City Café

The perfect place for locals to go for a fast lunch with really good food is Sun City Café, which is run by amazing people who are passionate about quality. This diner is in an upbeat and lively location (they are sure to get to know you quickly if you’re moving into the area), so it has something Mexican-inspired for everyone.

Tacos are the best option. You can choose from super tender braised chicken or seasoned ground beef. They also offer Mahi Mahi and shrimp. Then, top it with whatever you want. 4. Crepe Creation Café

This mom-and-pop crepe restaurant has an incredible blend of options to offer, from live music on the weekends with a full bar to keep you busy to the sweetest crepes outside of France. Crepe Creation Café. A beautiful, big dining room, this is the perfect brunch spot.

Early in the morning, it’s a nice place to enjoy breakfast after a long night, but you can also stop in in the mid-afternoon to escape the heat. They have much more than just crepes on the menu (but dinner crepes are excellent). Meatloaf, pork chops, and smothered chicken with andouille are tempting options.

5. Bistro 90

If you’re looking for a bistro for a night out with friends, Bistro 90 hits the spot. The Saffron Steamed Mussels are the perfect way to warm up, but you’ll want to check out the Herb Encrusted Australian Rack of Lamb, which is perfectly seasoned every time.

Steaks, homemade desserts, and fantastic cocktails set the tone for the rest of the evening. The portions are over-the-top (you can share an entrée!).. All the steaks are hand-cut to order, and the staff is the nicest. What we really love about Bistro 90 is that it feels welcoming without being too fussy.

6. Chuck’s Steak House

First, the steaks are hand-cut and perfectly aged. They really know their beef here. The fried seafood, fresh grouper, and homemade sides make this an excellent choice and a local favorite. The Oysters Rockefeller, when available, are exceptional for something a bit more old school.

Choose from a dozen beers on tap, enjoy the waterfront dining if you want, and meet some new friends at the bar. There are big tables, lots of room to spread out, and the best oysters in South Carolina are right here. This is comfort food for locals at its best in one of the locally loved eateries.
