The Grand Strand, the endless beaches, and the Boardwalk may have put Myrtle Beach on the map. But there’s one thing you’ll notice as you drive through town – mini golf!

Not just a little, but a lot. They say quality over quantity, but what about just a whole lot of quality? Myrtle Beach is a mini golf mecca, a place where you can experience the thrills and challenges of putt-putting with a splash of history and legend thrown in year round.

Are you ready to fly away and experience a miniature golf course in Neverland? Just be aware you may come face to face with a one-handed pirate!

Captain Hook’s Adventure Golf is our top choice in Myrtle Beach. Like all great putt putt, it takes you on an adventure. Here, you can become a part of the Darling family as you venture into the mystical world of the Lost Boys, explore a skull cave, and rescue Tinkerbell. All the while trying to beat your squad’s score.

2. Mt. Atlanticus Minotaur Golf

With 36 holes of Atlantis-themed mini golf, Mt. Atlanticus Minotaur Golf features non-stop action. A single block from downtown Myrtle Beach, this family-friendly adventure is laden with cascading waterfalls, caves, sea life, and challenging holes.

In the spirit of Atlantis, golfers will be surrounded by the myths and legends of the underwater city. Not to mention trying to spot the ever-elusive Mulligan the Minotaur. He’ll be a shoulder to cry on when you triple-bogey on the 18th.

Popstroke brings all the fun of Top Golf to your next mini-golf experience. This stunning course is an oasis of beauty and vibes. Sure, the allure of getting ten under par brought you here, but the treats and drinks will have you coming back.

Popstroke has two meticulous 18-hole courses. But you’ll want to keep your phone handy. This way, you can order crafted cocktails, draft beer, and hand-held apps right to your next hole. Just the trick to calm the nerves leading into the back nine.

It’s a party with a putter in hand!

4. Red Dragon Cove

We’ve had pirates, Atlantis, Minotaurs, and cocktails, and now we have dragons. You can’t convince me that Myrtle Beach isn’t the mini-golf capital of the world.

Red Dragon Cove brings you to the far-flung shores of ancient Asia, where legendary Junk ships, pirates of old, and mythical creatures combine. Having recently opened, their two 18-hole miniature golf courses are in top nick. Challenging greens, tricky water features, and the threat of the deep blue ocean will keep you on your toes.

Ready to golf on safari? Then, venture into Jungle Lagoon to find some epic mini golf holes and learn about animals from around the world.

There is a great flow to golfing here, with some straightforward holes warming you up for later challenges. This includes one molten mountain hole with a 20-foot volcano where you start above the cup looking down. Lava directs your ball in all directions. Where will it end up? That’s anyone’s guess.

Essentially at the beach, you’ll find yourselves just seconds away from some sand and sun when the 18th hole swallows your fluorescent golf ball.

6. Treasure Island Mini Golf

Treasure Island Mini Golf, inspired by the words of Robert Louis Stevenson and the history of South Carolina, has become a local legend.

One of the first of its kind in Myrtle Beach, this mini golf course has an alluring design that takes you to the heart of the story as you make your way around the course. Sound effects and the eternal presence of pirates ensure that you’ll need to concentrate extra hard to get your ball in the cup.

Inside, you’ll explore the Mayan pyramid and come in contact with the Gods of Thunder and Lightning, so let’s not go and make them angry by triple-putting, ok?

Myrtle Beach mini-golf courses take you around the globe and way back in time. But for more recent history, venture back to the 1800s at Lost Mine Miniature Golf.

Yards from the Atlantic Ocean, this course takes you back to the thrills of the gold rush where folks hoped to get rich, quick. Unless your friends enjoy some light-hearted gambling, money isn’t on the table here. But pride sure is.

Fun for the whole family, the course’s rustic Wild West setting creates a great scene for putt putt.

9. Jurassic Mini Golf

If Myrtle Beach is the mini-golf capital of the world, then Kings Highway is downtown. Six of our favorite courses can be found along this fun stretch of tar, including Jurassic Mini Golf.

Despite millions of years passing since the Age of Dinosaurs, there’s a small parcel of land along this highway where T-Rex’s, raptors, and ceratopsia still roam. Today, you get to golf around them. So be careful.

Club in hand, stay close to the course, lest you want to feel the wrath of this dinosaur adventure golf experience.

10. Ripley’s Crazy Golf

If you’re familiar with the wild world of Ripley’s Believe It or Not, then you’re halfway there to understand the oddities of our next mini golf course. At Ripley’s Crazy Golf, you can put your skills to the test as you explore a colorful indoor course.

Perfect for a rainy day in Myrtle Beach, you’ll uncover mind-bending 360-degree loops, swinging holes (literally), and interactive holes, all with a hefty dose of neon lights. Plus, it’s all too easy to combine this with Ripley’s Mirror Maze, Aquarium, and Super Fun Zone.
